You're the Expert is a podcast that is recorded monthly at the Oberon Theater.
My friend Chris hosts this podcast where he brings in an expert (past experts have included chiroptologists, quantum physicists, and microarchaeologists) and has three comedians perform short sketches based on what they think the expert does. The expert then explains what he or she actually does and what the comedians got right or wrong.

I've been to 4 or 5 of these tapings and they are great. The comedians are funny and you learn something too. I'll be at this one and thought that other mefites might enjoy it too. If you want to come you can buy tickets at the Oberon Theater link above.

Is this the sort of thing that might sell out? My wife and I are interested but won't know if we can make it for a couple more days.

They usually do sell out, yeah, but barely. On the other hand it's more or less a monthly thing and if Mefites are interested I'm happy to post it again next month. I'm not sure if this link will work but you can see what seats are left at the Oberon's website. There are still a bunch of sitting and standing room seats available for next Tuesday.

Ticket purchased. I haven't been to the theater before, so I was kind of guessing what would be a good place to sit, so I picked the front of the mezzanine. Thanks for pointing this out, Aizkolari.

FYI to Taters, I'm just getting back from out of town on Monday the 4th, so trivia will be the following week.

Thanks so much for posting this, it was such a great time, and I was particularly pleased that MeFi's own Myq Kaplan was one of the panelists.

Shoot! I did now know that Myq was a mefite. That is cool.

Horace, I'm glad you had fun. I'll post the date (March 26) of the next one now and will update that thread once the tickets go on sale.
