Mon January 21 at 7:30 PM, Tommy Doyle's Harvard Square
96 Winthrop Street, Cambridge, MA, USA (Map & Directions)
Making my usual joke-filled post on MLK day seems like maybe not a great idea, so I will simply say: join us for Geeks Who Drink trivia, Monday night at Tommy Doyle's.
Fighting a cold right now, but I will be there if it's cleared up by then.

I'm probably sit this one out as I've been up for 36 hours for first time since college. MIT Mystery Hunt is STILL GOING. I am burned out. I am losing language faculties. I refuse to ever Caesar-shift again.

Looks like the worst of the plague is over, so I'm calling myself a definite for tonight.

I was really hoping to attend my first-ever trivia session tonight but I'm feeling under the weather so I'll have to root for Team Taters from home. Hopefully I'll be able to come to the next one!

My dream is that one day the entire top floor of Tommy Doyle's will be nothing but teams composed of Mefites.

I just ran in to our Trivia Master at CVS. (I always forget his name [and everyone else's] because I am a terrible person.) He was pleased to see so many Mefites (I think he may have used the term "Metafilterans"?). He was also glad to see "the young looking guy" on a winning team, but I honestly do not know who he was referring to.

Unfortunately he had to have been referring to a non-MeFite. (oh the humanity!). It was still a fun time though!

I think he's talking about backseatpilot! He said something like that to him on our way out. Nothing about his youthfulness that time, though.

He was referring to me - he called me the "bad luck charm" on the way out and made some joke about finally being on the winning team.

Um, you guys, obviously he meant me.
I believe his name is Ryan.

The describe-the-thing-you-do thread is making me use small words.
