Mon January 7 at 7:30 PM, Tommy Doyle's Harvard Square
96 Winthrop Street, Cambridge, MA, USA (Map & Directions)
Come out to Geeks Who Drink trivia, Monday night at Tommy Doyle's. I'm so excited I could throw a trashcan through a plate glass window!

I think I can finally come to this. I'll have a clearer answer later on, but I don't think I have any appointments on Monday night.

90% sure I can make it. School starts again next week, and even though class is Tuesday and Thursday I need to work late the other days to make up the time I'm missing by going to school.

In conclusion, my schedule is a land of contrasts. Thank you.

On call for ER, so as long as everyone's gallbladder behaves I shall be there!

Mirabile dictu, I can come to this one! So long as y'all don't mind a long-lost prodigal returning to the meetup fold, I'll be happy to warm a seat, drink a beer and not know the answers to things.

I managed to get enough done this weekend that I can be there tonight. I'm looking forward to it!

FYI the BCS champsionship game is tonight. I can't remember if Tommy Doyle's has TV's but if it does it might be packed.

Tonight's Themes Include:
Easy Poetry To Make You Feel Smart
Michigan J. Frog's iPod
Sooner or Later: Make 'Em Laugh
Brother Can You Spare Eight Questions?
What Do You Mean, You Don't Have a Tabbouli Stamper?

Presumably Michigan J. Frog's iPod would have a bunch of Al Jolsen-type songs on it. "Brother Can You Spare Eight Questions?" suggests the Great Depression. "Sooner or Later" is the new format where you answer either based on the hard clues (2pts) or the easy ones (1pt). If it's about comedians, I like our chances, but I also wonder if it might be one of not_on_display's contributions. Google returns no results whatsoever for "Tabbouli Stamper" (or "Tabouli Stamper") so I got nuthin there.

Well, it shouldn't affect traffic too badly - I'm still coming.

I have been kinda quiet in terms of writing trivia rounds lately, so most likely it isn't one of mine. I did write a good speed round recently, though! And I have a fun "Real or bullshit" theme in the works. But it's been a slow month for me; I think I will probably write a lot more trivia once my son is in school.

I've also been sidetracked while doing preliminary research for a "Learned League Flags" one-day or minileague. Google reverse image search is powerful stuff.

I hope I'll be there tonight, though!

How long does it last again? I've got somewhat early dinner plans but maybe I can drop by later and spell out "M-E-F-I" and cheer and stuff.

It usually runs about 8:00-10:00.
