I'll be in LA from 4-27 to 5-10...meetup?
I have plans for the 28th, am going to X/Los Lobos on the 5th and want to go to the noir films at the Egyptian on 4-27, 4-29, 5-2, 5-3 and 5-6 (anyone who wants to join me for these is welcome).

I'm out of town until May 2nd, so I'd be available for the second half of your visit. I love film noir, so the series at the Egyptian looks good to me. Here's a link to the schedule. Maybe we could plan a meetup around one of the films?

That sounds fun....also, someone had mentioned luchavavoom and that is 5/4 and 5/5, although a complete change of pace from the noir films at the Egyptian. I'm up for either.

I did an FPP about Lucha Vavoom a while back and I can assure you it's an AWESOME evening of entertainment.

Alas, I'll be out of town getting married that weekend, but a few nights of film noir, wrestling, and burlesque dancers would definitely be my 2nd choice. May the Fourth be with you!

...and in case anyone is looking for even MORE stuff to do that night, the fabulous band Spain (you know, from the '90s!) are playing just down the way at Taix in Silver Lake at 11PM. I might hit the meetup and then go to the show.

I'm here and was told I couldn't be seated until the others arrived.

I'm really sorry I missed this. A friend was killed in a motorcycle accident on Friday night and that sorta ... derailed all my other plans.
