Hola LA MeFi, We're meeting up Bigfoot West on Thursday, April 5th. They have a happy hour between 7 and 9, so we're gonna start the meet somewhere in there and keep going if we prove to be interesting enough company. I'll probably pop in around 8/8:30 and I have this bright pink sweatshirt that has inadvertently become my trademark and you can find me that way. There's a kind of corner booth in the back right that tends to empty-ish even when busy, so it might make sense to try and say Hi there. Any Q's, just send me a MeMail!

I'm up for it if it fits into my schedule. (Can't do Tuesday nights/others vary.) I live Downtown, but I'm in Culver City a lot - Bigfoot West works for me.

Fridays tend to be packed there. I've seen it almost deserted on Tues/Weds/Thurs.

Should we say Thursday the 5th?

Make it Wednesday the 4th, and I'm there. I could also possibly do Friday, but as mentioned, it can get crowded.

BFLW has a fantastic happy hour, so if we can aim for sometime between 7 and 9, that would be great.

PA, how long are you in town? Thursday nights are pretty much the absolute worst for me, because I work until 10pm, then have to be at work at 9am the next morning.

I'd like to come and hang out with strangers from the internet! I'll probably be there around 7pm unless something catastrophic happens at work.

I've never met any of you though. Anything I should look for besides a pink sweatshirt? Or do I just introduce myself to first group of people awkwardly avoiding eye contact as this has been my experience with most internet meetups?

I usually look for a large-ish group of people with a mixture of beards, glasses, interesting shirts, good taste in beer, and at least one rather nice-looking camera. Doesn't take long.

I was trying to be more proactively helpful, but there are surprisingly few photo sets of Angelenos attached to our previous meetups.
