Killer Queen is a 5 player vs. 5 player arcade game. There is a machine at Logan Hardware at Fullerton/Western in Logan Square. Here is a video to get you acquainted with the game. [more inside]

As part of the XOXO festival, MetaFilter is sponsoring an afternoon of gaming at Ground Kontrol, the awesome 80s throwback arcade/bar. All the games will be on freeplay from 2pm to 5pm and the venue will normally be closed to all but XOXO attendees. If you're not lucky enough to be one of the ~500 attendees of XOXO, there should be room for MeFites to enjoy the space as well, just tell the doorman "I'm with the MetaFilter Meetup" to get in without a XOXO pass.

Jump some barrels, chase some ghosts and recharge your Superzapper, we’re making a road trip to Fun Spot in Laconia, New Hampshire! This is the home of the Classic Arcade Game Museum (list of games) as seen in the documentary The King of Kong. Seriously, did you see that list of games? Go look at it again. I’ll wait. They also have a ton of pinball machines and some other stuff. It's going to be awesome, you should totally come. [more inside]
