Small Press Expo is the premiere event for graphic novels, the comic arts and cartooning -- at least, that's what we like to tell people, although in my absolutely biased opinion, it's true. SPX is amazing, and if you're anywhere nearby, please check it out.
Small Press Expo takes place at Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center (5701 Marinelli Road · Bethesda, MD -- across the street from the White Flint Metro stop) Saturday, Sept. 10, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 11, from noon to 6 p.m.

A one-day membership is $10. A weekend pass is $15. All proceeds benefit the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund.

I am the Ignatz Awards coordinator so I definitely recommend you stick around for that at 9 p.m. on Saturday night.

Awesome event! We've been going since the first one, I think. Can only make it for Sunday this year though.

I had some plans fall through this weekend, and I love graphic novels, so I might come by for Sunday.

If we make it down, it'll likely be Sunday as well.

I'll have to see what my plans are, but I'd love to go, as would arrjaybee (though he is across the country atm, so I shall go for him!)- he wants the new QC book.

Sunday's a good day to go since it's usually less crowded.
