I just can’t even with the news. So that means just one thing: ICE CREAM
OK, here’s the deal: I WILL BUY AN ICE CREAM for any Mefite (+guests) who RSVPs to this Meetup. (Please RSVP beforehand). Also, optionally, I will give you a hug.
I will be there from 6:30 to about 8ish. Probably afterwards at Parklife, 636 Degraw St.
Also, also, anyone who is going to SECRET SCIENCE CLUB on Monday, August 14, contact me, and I will reserve you a place near the beginning of the line, and buy you a drink.

I'd love to but as someone still recovering from surgery I just can't. Sigh. this is why I didn't want this surgery I knew how long the recovery would be and how it would impact on my emotional well being.

It's quite a hike to that part of Brooklyn from work for me. I'm not saying no, but I can't say yes.

All right, I think I have to do this the opposite order—I will likely not make it down in time for the ice-cream portion of the evening, 'cause colleagues are actually going to the other thing with me, but I'll happily hit Parklife after that.
