Just a simple, no frills NYC meetup in the Lower East Side.
I may be able to be there, depending on whether a friend of mine cancels our prior date. Hope I can make it!

How are you metafilterians going to be recognizable? I have walked in and out (well, probably 'by' as opposed to 'out') of a few meetups due to not knowing how to identify which group were the mefites...

Generally when we see someone unfamiliar approaching with that 'are you my people?' look, someone will say "Metafilter?" at them. If you check the thread someone will have posted when/where we're seated. (Unless you got there first, in which case you should post a "I'm here at [location]" comment with some description of yourself/what you're wearing, and then you and the next to arrive would "Metafilter?" at each other.)

That happened to me at the first meet up I tried to go to. Clandestino is a fairly small bar so it shouldn't be so bad finding the group.
