Hello Canada! I will be travelling to the fine city of Winnipeg in a few weeks for work, and wanted to see if there was any interest in a meetup. Is anyone available for a happy hour beverage, or dinner+a drink, or an after-dinner drink/coffee on Monday, Oct 19?
I am open to suggestions of places - my hotel is near the airport, but I'll have a car, so am willing to go anywhere. Just from a very cursory Yelp search, The Pint looks ok, and large enough to accommodate a group. If somehow Monday afternoon is better for people than Monday evening, that works for me too. Alternatively, I could possibly do a lunch on Friday, Oct 23. If you have ideas that don't revolve around food and drinks, I am open to that as well!
I should be free either evening; The Pint/downtown works for me!

Cool! Wanna say Monday, at 7:30? If either of you have a place that you'd rather go, I'm open. I know very little about Winnipeg.

So I didn't realize that my phone (at least the data part) is probably not going to work in Canada, unless I have WiFi. I will do my best to update here with what I'm wearing and other details that will make it easy enough to find each other at the venue, and we'll see what happens.
Other than the NO-INTERNET-OMG-HOW-WILL-I-FIND-ANYTHING anxiety, I can't wait!

I'm wearing jeans and a large-checkered pattern button-up shirt with a ridiculous amount of colors. Short blonde hair, nose ring. I will probably look somewhat anxietal and like I've been travelling all day.
