She's Beautiful When She's Angry at the Music Box

Sun March 15 at 2:00 PM, Music Box Theatre
3733 North Southport Avenue, Chicago, IL, USA (Map & Directions)
She's Beautiful When She's Angry, a 2014 documentary of the modern women's movement in the US is playing at the Music Box either from March 13 to 15 or March 13 to 19 (The Music Box only has showtimes for the weekend, but the film's website says "One week only!"). In any event, I'm going to the Sunday Matinee, if anyone is interested in joining me. We can saunter to a nearby bar afterward. Screening is at 2:30, but I've set the time for 2:00pm, cause I'm picky about my movie seating.
Kickstarter for the film; BitchMagazine on the film; NYTimes; Variety

This sounds fantastic! I hadn't heard about this and probably would have missed it if you hadn't posted this. Thanks, crush!

Do we think there's a chance it'll sell out? I was thinking about buying tickets in advance but my paranoia is fighting my cheapskatedness.

I bought my ticket already. I expect the weekend shows *might* sell out. I feel like it's getting a lot of press, but it could just be because I'm tuned into both the Music Box generally and this film in particular (I was a Kickstarter backer).

Oh shit! I just realized we might be out of town that weekend. Changing to a "maybe".

Oooh! MeFi's own desjardins and I saw this when it was in Milwaukee for the film festival last year, and I might just be willing and able to swing down on the train to see it again because it was absolutely that wonderful. Put me down as a Maybe!

I'm going to the 2:30 show on Saturday, if Sunday doesn't work for any MeFites who are interested in hanging out. Also, let me give a shout out to Heather Booth, my friend's mom and a total dynamo, who is profiled in this and will be speaking after the showing at 7:30 on Friday - wish I could make that one but there's a Chuy event I can't skip.
