Does they have taters, Precious?

(What date and time did you have in mind?)

I'm not sure about date and time yet, aside from before the special ends.
One thought was next week, post Xmas, pre-Green Dragon meetup.

Denny's tie-in? This makes me so sad.

This does not exactly fit with the nutrition model I had in my mind for Hobbits.

"Frodo's Pot Roast Skillet"?
"Radegast's Red Velvet Pancake Puppies"?

Did they just take random foods and associate them with random Tolkein characters? Also, do I event want to know WTF a "pancake puppy" is?

Also, it would be kind of awesome to go from this directly to the Green Dragon. Just sayin'...

This is a tie-in with Denny's, fer cryin' out loud - did you really expect anything more?

Luncheon followed by afternoon beer?
I'm not sure my gut can take that, but I'd be willing to give it a try if anyone else is up for it.

My gut could probably take it, but big-Denny's-meal-plus-beer means I'd be nodding off or actually asleep pretty quickly.

You sure this is such a good idea?

Yikes. Food fit for orcs, indeed.

YES.

Some of the videos make it look bad, some look OK. I think it's dependent on the Denny's you go to.

So, are people on board for a pre-Green Dragon meetup per dersins' suggestion?

Or should this be its own thing, possibly coinciding with a showing of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey?

As with LOTR, I'm going to wait until the entire series is available on DVD so I can watch the full story uninterrupted (other than potty and snack breaks). So I personally wouldn't be interested in the movie part.

I tried the Hobbit Sausage Skillet on the first day this came out. You can hardly taste the hairy feet.

I suspect we'll need that both.
