I'm here in Baltimore on business and will be here until August 26th. Would love to meet local MetaFilter people. I'm staying close to the Inner Harbor but do not want to have the meetup there because this really isn't my favorite part of town. I'll be busy during the weekdays but my one weekend and weekday evenings are wide open. I don't have a car but am not averse to cabbing it.
So let me know what you think. I'd love to meet all of you.

Would you all be up for a game of that? My guidebook tells me there's an alley in Fells Point/Canton.

I would love to go duckpins bowling some time. However, that alley is nowhere near Fell's Point or Canton, it is in the no-man's land around the SW corner of Patterson Park (and, therefore, close to my house). Also easier (not necessarily easy) to find parking in. If you don't have a car, the 10 bus goes from downtown right by the bowling alley.
Been meaning to get over there, never made it.

Hey, duckpins! There's also an alley closer to me, up in Pikesville, and parking would be much easier. Either way, Tuesday is out for me, but I can do Monday late in the evening (around 8 or so).

This is the one by my house, which is easier to get to if jason's_planet won't have a car. Parking isn't that bad. Looks like they have a group special, $13 per person, including shoes, for 2 hours. No problem with the hours.

jason's_planet, a cab would cost you $15-20. Depending on where you are in the Inner Harbor, you could snag the 10 bus and get off at Chester St. (ask the driver or the other passengers, they'll help you. There is a Burger King right there). Walk a half block in the same direction the bus was going on the same side of the street, and you'll be there.
The bus is $1.60 per ride or you can get a day pass for $3.50. You need exact change for either.
If you take a cab down, getting one back might be interesting. I do have all the cab company numbers in my phone. One might come (Baltimore cab companies are really bad at coming when called). The 10 runs about twice an hour that time of day, I think.
I'd offer to pick you up and drop you on my motorcycle, but my bike is small and I don't take passengers often.

Since you are in the Inner Harbor, I'll mention the B&O Brasserie at Charles and Baltimore in the Hotel Monaco. Very nice food, has become my favourite place to meet friends for dinner.
