Sun August 15 at 2:00 PM, Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery
4800 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA, USA (Map & Directions)
Come see mefite speicus play accordion with The Shpil this Sunday 2-5pm in Barnsdall Park at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery opening reception for the Los Angeles Juried Exhibition!
Band description: "Leaping shtetls and genres in a single bound, The Shpil can be found playing their irreverent interpretations of Klezmer standards, Balkan and Eastern European tunes and Yiddish songs alongside original compositions and cheeky pop culture references* at bars and bar mitzvahs across Los Angeles."

Also Barnsdall is a lovely park with a lovely Frank Lloyd Wright house and a lovely view of the city.

*Think Lady Gaga and/or Michael Jackson

If you're a westsider, you can see him doing accordion duos as part of Machine Project's residency at the Hammer Museum.
