Sat October 15 at 10:00 PM, Helium Comedy Club
1510 SE 9th Ave, Portland, OR, USA (Map & Directions)
I'm going to be hosting a week at Helium Comedy Club. Headliners are the Sklar Brothers -- regular guests on ESPN Sports Center, & former hosts of Cheap Seats on ESPN. They've appeared on many TV shows including Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Grey's Anatomy (where they played conjoined twins). Also, they're funny. (Edited so it doesn't disappear before the last show Saturday)
Shows are Tuesday, 8pm (open mic, no cover)
Thursday, 8pm
Friday and Saturday, 7:30pm and 10pm

I saw Bamford there a couple months ago and loved the venue, I might make the Thursday night show next week.

a definite maybe for this one. As much as I love their pod cast I just can't promise you a rose sklarden.

Thanks for posting this! I really, really loved Cheap Seats and have enjoyed some web shorts with them. It's really tempting to me but I would need to square away babysitting.

mathowie -- me too! I loved that show so much. Jackie Kashian is a headliner on any other bill, and Bamford is one of the few comedians who absolutely deserves the term "artist," in my book.

First show of the week was tonight, and let me just say, I am very proud to be hosting this. Dax Jordan, a great local comedian who just signed with Sirius satellite radio, is the feature act. Straight through, this is the smartest comedy show I've ever been involved in, lots of very clever and very funny stuff. If you hate dumbed down pandering comedy or like geeky stuff, this is your show.

Can't help you with the babysitting though.
