After our last team medal, let's do our bi-weekly pub trivia event and see if we can go on a streak. Be there or be a bunch of coccydynias
I may have a =1. She always says she's gonna go, and then she doesn't.

Er, +1. She generally =1, as well, though.

Courtesy of the GWD Weekly E-mail (which I've finally started receiving) here's five out of the eight category names for tonight's quiz:
Eight Mile & Seven Years Ago (Eminem)
Fu-Bar
Here We Are Now Entertain Us (Nirvana)
I'm Just Drawn That Way (Jessica Rabbit, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?)
The New 40
Let's put our thinking caps on!

...and I'm bringing a printed version of the Vocabulary Fail post so that we can come up with a good name as Julio's decided to give some sort of prize for most original team name.
Right now, I like "The Bescumbered, Bedunged Berets" but we have SO MANY CHOICES!
I'll be there around 6:30 - 6:45 to grab good table (except for audio round apparently) and get food. WOLFDADDY HUNGRAY!

I'm running late, but will be on the way. Proposing a name: Gordon Ramsay Sex Dwarf Eaten By Badger (and yes, I've been reading Gawker to prepare for this week).

Finnish oompah bands (W ... T ... F?), large southern hemisphere cities, and cartoon characters who are or are perceived as gay held us back a bit and we landed in 4th place this time out. Also the place was PACKED like it's never been before on trivia night so the competition was somewhat fierce (or not, the last place team only got seven points). We also forgot to order jalapeno poppers! Next time, folks, next time.

Huh. From Wikipedia: In Finland, Paranoid has the same status as Free Bird in the United States, Raul Seixas in Brazil or Stairway to Heaven in the United Kingdom as a song the audience finds great humour to request during a concert. So regardless of the band or the style of music they're playing "Soittakaa Paranoid!" ("Play Paranoid!") can usually be heard at least once during any gig.
And thanks for making Vince feel welcome. He's called me a couple of times today to tell me how bad he feels for the Ozzy/Black Sabbath mistake.
