Twelfth Night Book Flood

Sun January 6 at 2:00 PM, Flannery Culp's house
Scheffer Ave, St Paul, MN, USA (Map & Directions)
Inspired by Iceland's Jolabokaflod, but timeshifted to a day when most people should be back in town and recovered from the holiday brouhaha.
Wear something cozy, bring a book to exchange, and prepare for a lazy Sunday afternoon of snacks and reading. Partners, kids, random book lovers you encounter on the street are all welcome as well.
Note: I also invited people to this over on Facebook, so even if you're the only one who RSVPs here, please come! I promise it won't be a lonely two-person meetup.

Is it okay to bring graphic novels for the exchange? How about zines? I will probably come to this but need to find a book I can part with...

Sure! Anything you like that you think others would also enjoy.
Last time I drove past Half Price Books there were giant sale signs in the windows, so you might be able to find a cheap second copy of something and not have to give up a favorite.

This is a fun idea and I'd *love* to meet more Twin Cities MeFites, but I am unfortunately busy :(

I won't be able to make it due to small children but it sounds *heavenly*.

Small children are fine (a friend of mine may bring her niece, who's around 3) as long as they are OK with a friendly but very enthusiastic dog. This neighborhood also has an awesome playground and ice cream/coffee shop if you need good behavior bribes!

ach. I am just seeing this now! What a great idea. I'd love to join for (or host) another one of these in the future.
