Tue September 18 at 7:30 PM, Books Are Magic
225 Smith St, Brooklyn, NY, USA (Map & Directions)
I want to go to Tamara Shopsin's reading with John Hodgman at Books Are Magic if work doesn't wear me out too much. If you'd like to come too, that'd be cool! We could also get dinner and/or drinks at one of many nearby drinking and dining establishments (like Leyenda, perhaps?).
Tamara Shopsin is a great author and illustrator (I love Arbitrary Stupid Goal, the subject of this event, as well as her recent Types of Bugs for the New Yorker). She is the daughter of the much mourned Kenny Shopsin (subject of halation's recent FPP).

Details on the reading here (you'll have to scroll down a bit). They also say you can RSVP on Facebook but I doubt it's necessary.

given kenny's recent death I think it would be best to get there early.
