Everything is better with cats. There was some interest at the Ice Cream Social to attend this. Who wants to go?
FWIW, "early bird" ticket pricing ends August 1st for the $10 tickets. After that they go up to $15.

My sarcasm detector is broken so if that was a joke, never mind, but just to make sure (since I am also severely allergic), I checked the event FAQ and actual cats are not allowed at CHS Field, only cat videos.

True! No IRL cats allowed at the venue.
A wrinkle in this plan is that it is a friend's SO's birthday, and, sadly, I may be otherwise committed to that. ah well. Future cat videos, while at the State Fair, perhaps?

If there are cat videos at the State Fair, maybe. The festival was only there one year.
