I can teach you how to knit pussy hats. We can maybe collect hats for distribution before the next womens March. We had a successful group on 12/21, with two knitters learning to purl! There will be room for ten on couches, a snuggly black cat (who decided yesterday that she’s kinda into circular needles if they’re juggling in front of her), cake, and tea. Near the R/W train at 8 Street, 6 train at Astor Place, ACE/BD at West 4th, N at 14th Street. Memail for actual address and buzzer instructions.
If you can tie your own shoes, I can teach you to knit. Please plan to bring 100 grams of worsted weight yarn and size 7 or 8 circular needles, 16 inch length, measured from tip to tip. If you want to make a thicker hat, choose 100 grams of bulky yarn and a 10 or 10.5 circular needle, also 16 inches. Hats can be knitted flat, so if you only have straight needles, bring those.

Absolutely! We were knitting until 9:00, I think, so even 7 or 8 would be fine!

I zoned out on a train and over did it on my ribbing, so I'm committing to a fully ribbed hat.
