Ride with us from London to Amsterdam from 12-17 September, and support a good cause or two! Two (optional) days in the UK, two in Belgium, and two in the Netherlands (last year's route).
Never thought you could do a long-distance ride before? Well here's a gentle one!
The David Eales Memorial ride is a 4-6 day group charity ride from London (or Dunkerque) to Amsterdam each September. The ride is long but leisurely, averaging 60 miles (about 100km) each day. The cycling conditions in Belgium and the Netherlands are level and pleasant, allowing riders to take in the scenery along the route.
For details, download and read through the book, and if you're interested, register by setting up a fundraising page in David's memory.
David Eales was one of those people who come along every so often in your life and change the whole world around them. West London's cycling movement wouldn't have been half so energised without his efforts. He had helped organise last year's ride, but sadly was taken from us by Stevens Johnson Syndrome before he could go on the ride. We re-committed the event to his memory, and in 2016 six of us rode to Amsterdam in his name.
