Bringing the family to Austin, TX for a week of spring break. I'll be in town from Monday, April 6, until Saturday, April 11. Looking for a nighttime meetup downtown somewhere within stumbling distance of the Driskill Hotel.
The best nights for me are Tuesday, April 7 and Friday, April 10, but I'm open to suggestions. When I lived here, I was partial to drinking at the Driskill, around fourth street, and bars around the Red River area. Let's meet up and I'll tell y'all some ghost stories!

I have a gig Saturday the 11th at 8 pm but will make any other date you set absolutely 100 per-cent gar-un-teed.

I'm a probably, more likely if it's Tuesday. BD Riley's is a great Irish pub right by the Driskill -- and I know they'll hold us a table if I ask.

I'm also newish to town, and I might be free (I work into the evenings most days). What's easy tiger like on a tuesday night?
I'm also strangely hesitant because my last attempt to meet someone in town from the internet involved me saying hi to someone, followed by them saying hi and then walking away immediately to go talk to a group of her friends, but I don't think mefites would do that.

Lownote, this would be a table of mefites there for the purpose of talking amongst ourselves, for sure. I almost walked right past my first meetup because of nerves, but it ended up being great. They've all been great.
Looking forward to finally meeting CC in person, after years of on-line friend program-related activities. Can we set a date on this thing so I can block out time on the calendar?

So glad we came, thanks to Cold Chef for organizing and wow did my stepdaughter love the Driskill! Our one night in Austin was very well spent. Love you guys!
