OK, stupidly late call for this but if anyone can do it, the NY Mefi people can. I'm over from the UK to check out my friend's new bar that looks like it is right up your average (& not so average) NYMeFite's street. A beer & spirits menu to die for and a rock-centric music playlist. This could be jonmc's spiritual home...
Idle Hands' website. Beer menu. Harder stuff menu. (Everything from Pappy 23yr, through Glenlivet to Mehkong!)

Screens for Sunday afternoon/evening sports-watchers. Food is available via Billy Hurricane's upstairs or Croxley Ales across the street.

Interesting NY historical fact: the bar is in the basement of the former Save the Robots venue. They found some of the original artwork during the recent renovation.

(I picked the time as I'll be at the Knicks-Sixers game at MSG from midday to about 2.30pm and I'm guessing a few folks won't want a late Sunday what with school in the morning.)

I've always had great times in NY at previous meets so will be looking forward to this...just sorry for the late notice...

Based on a bit of feedback on MeMail, would it be a pain if I moved this on for a 5 or 6pm start? It will still be fun ;-)

I'm walking the length of Manhattan on Sunday (Broadway from 220th to the Battery), but depending on how I'm feeling by the end of that I may need a drink and some sitting down before heading back to the BX.
