I feel like there should be a comment in this thread! I would like to do this, but May 8th is a while off, and I haven't literally purchased tickets so I'm saying maybe.

My impulse was to post this super-early because I have no idea how long shows take to sell out. But since the Belle and Sebastian show at the same venue in April still has tickets for sale, I'm sure I'm worrying about nothing.

Wow, the May 7 show in Seattle is already sold out. Pretty sure that venue is much smaller, though.

Ok, I hate to say it, but I guess it's for the best I didn't buy a ticket for this yet. I'm not going to be able to make it to this, I've got a volcanology field trip. Which will be fun, but it sucks that it's happening on the same day.

Aw dang. Volcanology field trip sounds cool, though. Everybody wants a(n igneous) rock to wind a piece of string around.

Hey folks! I'll be public-transiting on over there around 7:15 and wearing a MetaFilter t-shirt in case I need to be identified as That MeFi Guy Who Suggested This. Looks like there are still tickets to be had.

Thank you, knuckle tattoos! I wouldn't have known about this except for your posting it as an IRL event. My dude *loves* TMBG, and he really enjoyed the concert. I went too and enjoyed it also. I tried to look for you, but it was really packed and I couldn't read everyone's shirt :)
