Hey! I'm mid-move between Jersey City and Philadelphia, and this weekend I'll be in the area grabbin' some stuff. Let's maybe do a thing?
I'll be in town starting late Friday night — 7–9, most likely — and then I have to return early Saturday evening to attend a show. Drinks Friday? Brunch Saturday? Either/or/and? I'm open to whatever, let's do this!
I'd love to see you, but I have plans for Friday. Saturday works for me or if you're painting the town red, I could join something very late on Friday.

I vote brunch over drinks, always. I don't know any Whelk-adjacent locations to suggest, but, we haven't had a meetup at Pies-N-Thighs in years, I see they've opened a lower Manhattan location now too.

I love Pies n Thighs but don't think the Manhattan location is open yet. I am probably free whenever.

Brunch might requires reservations but Mighty Quinn BBQ in the west village has a big big space in the former Bone Lick Park space.

I've seen smoked hard boiled eggs and you can put BBQ sauce on eggs cooked the way you like. I have not seen these at the east village MQ.

As a Phillyite who moved out thisaways for two years before — blessedly! — returning, I empathize with this completely. Manhattan is a terrible place filled with deluded (albeit wonderful) people. Poor people.
