It's amazing what I can end up writing while waiting for food.

Hmmmmmm, pretzels, sausage and beer [said in a Homer Simpson voice].

I have the cold that would not die. Rather than drinking, making it worse and giving it to everyone else, I am bailing. Sorry to all.

This means that if someone else wants to schedule next week, they can. Otherwise, I'll do it tomorrow.

You better be alive to make us pancakes, or else you'll get the crepe beat out of you!

Just wanted to confirm, in light of Hactar's illness (Having him rest up so he can make us breakfast on Saturday is the greater good), that I will still be there to stuff my face and drink beer.

Miss Computech regrets she is unable to eat sausages today.

Okay, then I guess I will NOT be there drinking and eating since no one else has RSVPed yes throughout the day and no one I talked to offline will be attending.

Next time, folks!

I'd go, just so you wouldn't be alone, but then you'd have to deal with just me, which is probably worse than being alone.

So this is cancelled?

If other people want to go feel free, but since no one else firmly committed to going by an hour before the meet-up, I personally made some other plans that interested me more than potentially hanging out by myself at the beer hall.

Williamsburg loses!
posted by wintrymix at 7:02 AM on September 26, 2013

Too many variables were manipulated at once here. Was it the hipsters of Williamsburg that turned everyone away? Was it an irrational hatred of Wednesday? Was it the lack of Hactar? Was there an interaction effect? Or was it all chance? We'll never know.

"Was it the lack of Hactar?"

I think you mean Lacktar. (Or Hactart, but that's more of a pet name between us.)
