...time to circle the wagons, see friends you haven't seen in a while, let them know that they're important to you, and maybe even make new friends in the process. We've lost one of our own, and the best way to deal with that is to be together.
Let's get together and have a feast, at Feast (which is scheduled to close later this year). We've got some options for how to handle that - we can go on a Sunday afternoon for one of their "roasts" - which is a set $20 menu which includes a choice of entrees and dessert. Or we can go some evening and enjoy the full menu. But let's crowdsource the answer to that particular question and see how the collective feels about our options. (Personally, I'd favor the full menu. Feast's real magic is in its wild variety.)

This will be a meetup where we need to make a reservation, so your RSVP will be appreciated.

I am not good Saturday evening, but will clear decks for all other times. Maybe Friday night for the full-option option? (Sunday afternoon seems pleasantly chill though. Also: day drinking.)

I second ColdChef's emotion about sometime sooner being better. In light of that, and in an effort not to let us get bogged down in the tyranny of choices while trying to find the Perfect Time That Works For Everyone, the time that works best for this weekend is the Sunday Roast.

Apologies to Runes and Gridlock Joe, who indicated that this time wouldn't work for them.

I'm going to go ahead and revise this to reflect that date and time, and I'd appreciate it if everyone who is coming could RSVP as quickly as possible. Once we've got a head-count, I will call ahead and reserve for us.

Arg. Sorry all, will be on an airplane back to SD when y'all are Roasting. Have a G&T for me. I'll have one in the club room at IAH before boarding in Eric's memory.

Was great to see everyone. Certainly it was bittersweet, without WolfDaddy there to enjoy it with us. But it was more sweet than bitter because I got to spend some time laughing and sharing stories with y'all.
