Main Line and beer for the new year?

Tue January 15 at 6:00 PM, Tired Hands Brewing Company
16 Ardmore Avenue, Ardmore, PA, USA (Map & Directions)
Confirmed: Tuesday the 15th! Tired Hands + you? Everyone will have stopped caring about their carb-based resolutions by next week, right? Memail me if you want me to phone in and post an update on the bacon availability that day...
Beer, cheese, etc. I will try to not break any more hearts with reports of the fabled-but-elusive candied bacon. Philly-folk: as always, newcomers are totally welcome, and it's quite close to the Ardmore train station and parking. I also totally welcome any non-Tired Hands suggestions. Dates? Weekdays are good on my end.

Thanks, as always, for organizing these! Tuesdays and Thursdays work best for me, but if Wednesdays are better for people, Jan. 9th and 23rd are definitely out for me.

Any Mon - Thurs is good for me, with the exception of the 3rd (beer practice) and 17th (gaming at Rock Bottom).

Hooray! Tuesdays and Thursdays are best for me, but my January is pretty open right now if another day is best - the only day I know I can't make it for sure is Wednesday the 30th. I just need to kick the cold my family gave me for Christmas and I'll be ready to go!

It's 2013, and I would love to come out to this and get in on this new tradition. Any weekday, 6 or later, is fine by me.

Tuesdays are better for me-- any preference for the 15th or the 22nd?

I admit, I'm curious to know what "beer practice" is, MikeKn!

I'd love to make it out there this time- the only days I can't do are the 10th and 30th.

Either the 15th or 22nd is good for me--looking forward to it!

Mondays and Tuesdays are best for me if we're shooting for 6 pm. If it starts later, Wednesdays and Thursdays are good too.

Updated to confirmed for Tuesday the 15th!

Excellent! I'll be there.

As for beer practice - my local SCA group has lots of practices (archery, fencing, fighting, etc) and so after our monthly business meeting we go out to "beer practice" at TJs in Paoli. TJs is a great place to try different beers, so it serves as a nice practice spot :)

I'm a hard maybe. That bacon heartbreak still hurts.

You are all so gonna get met by me. You don't even know.

I'll be heading out of the city on the commuter rail in the 5:45-6:15 range, so if anyone wants to find me and say hey, I look like this. It's a nice little thing the Chicago MeFites made for me when I went missing.

Though I should warn you that I actually am not in black and white and I don't have demon eyes.

My weeknights are booked almost-solid from now through May or so, alas. No choice but to await the return of the board game meetups. (Or a Sunday Quizzo, if people are still into that.)

So, with craft beer being one of my favorite things in the world, how pumped should I be on a scale of rather to mind-crushingly?

And also to meet awesome new people, yes yes.

I'm no connoisseur but I'd rate their beer as being "pretty good". I don't think they had any repeat selections in the two times I've been there, which I take as a good sign.

I'll be headed over there around 5:30 from Center City so please feel free to drop me a line if anyone wants a train buddy. Tired Hands is not far from the train station but I do enjoy a good posse.

I'm a craft beer fan, and this place has never failed to disappoint. Check out the current tap list: http://www.tiredhands.com/on-tap

I can't make this one, but drink some beers for me! Hope to see you next time.

I will probably be on the train that leaves Suburban Station at 5:44, and I look forward to joining any posses that form on the way to Tired Hands.

SpiffyRob, I am a giant beer nerd and Tired Hands impresses me more than most brewpubs-that-only-serve-their-own-beer. I really appreciate that they aren't afraid to get weird in the styles they brew, and I like that they're always changing up the list. I've never had anything there that really blew my mind, but they usually have at least one thing I'm pretty happy to be drinking.

Works for me!

I'm aiming to catch the 5:44 as well so I'll keep my eyes open for you.

I'll the one who looks like a librarian, wrapped up in a giant white sweater! (I probably do not have demon eyes. Probably.) I think that given the number of RSVPs, should we just plan to grab one of the big tables upstairs first this time?

Yeah, sounds like a good plan.

Unfortunately I have to deal with car issues and won't be able to make it. I'll see whomever at Quizzo in a couple weeks!

Bacon + good times! So good to see everyone as well as a couple of new faces-- to DoubleLune and the others who couldn't come, there will be a next time. Welcome to Philly, SpiffyRob! In the meantime, this picture and Elvis Castello really cover everything, I think.

Great to finally meet lagreen and a big welcome to SpiffyRob! Also: CANDIED BACON.
