Hi, I'll be in London near Lincoln's Inn Fields next week, from Sunday to noon Thursday. Any London mefites want to meet a mefite from the U.S.? I have no car but a sense of adventure. I'll buy you a pint, of whatever.

I'm also up for something.
that is the centralest of central London, a car would do you no good there at all.
The better question is whether you have an oyster and a sense of adventure.

Do you mean from the 17th to the 22nd? I'm up for something, but working fulltime and busy Monday and probably Tuesday evenings. Sunday would be best!

There are indeed loads of decent pubs in the Holborn area, a few of which were discussed in this recent FPP. The Princess Louise is particularly fine (and just up the road from my office), but I'm up for anywhere!

Cool. I'm going to be there the 11th through the 15th, leaving at noon. Is Monday evening workable? Wednesday I'll be in Milton Keynes until 5 or 6. And I love oysters.
