Mefi's scram is hosting a LAVA event about Jim Tully, the author (among many other things) of a novel made into a movie with Louise Brooks. My father will also be part of a discussion about my grandfather's Pickwick Bookshop. Details here.

Thanks for posting! The LAVA Salon is just one of a week's worth of Tully-themed events, beginning with tonight's screening at the American Cinematheque of the supposedly "lost" film (turns out, nobody bothered to look) Laughter in Hell. For info about all Tullyfest happenings, see this link.

Space is quite limited for the Salon, and reservations required. They will open up this evening, so watch that link.
