It's been a while since we've had an afternoon of drinks and talk at the Dog & Duck. Let's do it again sometime soon. ETA: After some proposing and back and forth, we're on for August 19 at 2 PM.
The best weekend for me is August 4/5 but I am open to other dates and venues. After work/happy hour is also do-able.

I was just thinking we were past due for a meetup.

I will be out of town that weekend, also the weekend before (Jul 2-29).

I am out of town the weekend after (August 11-12) but can definitely do Sunday August 19.

I'll be in Portland the 4th thru the 11th (I have some donuts to deliver) but will be around the 19th for sure.

I'm around that weekend, as well as on either side of it. I usually hate going downtown but I could probably be convinced :o)

I'm new to Austin (and relatively new to Metafilter) but I'm down for the meetup wherever, whenever. I don't start working till the first week of August and I don't know my schedule as of yet but I'm sure any late evening would be fine. And weekends are always free for me.

I'm moving to Austin next week, and would love to join y'all. I'll be free pretty much any evening after work, and can probably make all weekends mentioned.

(Oh yeah ... My area of town isn't served by public transit at all, so I'm partial to a coffeehouse meetup or the like, although dog & duck's menu looks pretty good)

I'm new to Austin (and Metafilter) so I don't know how this all works, but I'm currently unemployed which makes me pretty available!

I definitely can't make August 9th-12th and weekends are more likely to work for me than weeknights, but my attendance to these things is pretty spotty, so don't schedule around me :-).

Yay, newcomers! When I moved here last year I met a lot of folks through Metafilter. I am up for the next one, and fine with either Dog & Duck or Cherrywood Coffeehouse. Glad you finally joined Metafilter too, Michael!

Bump, to remind everyone. I'm going to be in the come early, leave early camp, as I most likely will have to get home to get my kid to his robotics club by 4, so I'll secure us a table some time before 2.
