Work is taking me to Charlotte and I'll be there for an extra day. Would love to get together with folks this Friday night, the 15th, and have some food and maybe a beer.
I'll be giving a talk for the library system on Thursday and will be very overprogrammed so would like to have a free day and then a meal with some MeFites. No strong preferences other than a place where I can get something decently healthy and/or a place that isn't super loud. Feel free to bring friends and/or family.

My wife and I would totally be up for a little get together. While not exactly healthy per-say Dish has pretty decent Southern type food. On the slightly more mmm...eclectic side of things...everyone I have taken to Krazy Fish has really liked it. (It's more then just sea food, though the menu is sort of hard to describe). Both have beer and liquor.

Any other local Charlotte folk have any ideas?

Shoot, I have to take Little Darling up to Virginia for freshman orientation on Friday; probably won't be back till 9ish.

If you all decide to go to Krazy Fish, I have a $40 Living Social voucher that will likely expire before we can get over there to use it. Would be glad to send it to someone to cover jessamyn's dinner and a couple of beers for the group.

Ian A. T. and I are headed that way on Friday and we'll likely be able to make a detour in Charlotte. We should be around at about 8, 8:30?

That is great news! I just saw a photo of Ian A.T. in another meetup photoset and was like "Wait a sec, doesn't he live someplace else?" So maybe we can call it for 8 at Krazy Fish if that works for Captain_Science & co?

Not at all, you can even just show up. The place is about four miles from where I am staying [I'm at some killer airbnb place on Walnut that local people should know about because it's stupid cheap and amazing] so I may bug someone for a ride home afterwards if anyone's going my way.
