Per EmpressCallipygos, I'm posting a pre-meetup meetup for those of us who are free during the day to visit the London Canal Museum and perhaps to stroll the Regents Canal a bit afterwards before catching up with folks dinner and drinks later on with those of you who have to work.
Admission is £4 for adults. The museum closes at 16:30. Nearest tube stop is Kings Cross/St. Pancras.

I can't make this due to work but will definitely be at Gem for the meal later. Could the details for that be firmed up in that thread?

*wince* I actually couldn't make 2:30 definitively (planning a kayak tour that day) - I hate to do this, but could I come late? Maybe 3-ish?

Heh. I can't make it, but I might be able to wave at you from an office window on the other side of the canal. (Sometimes, when they say "new event near you", they really mean it...)

3-ish is fine. Considering that I'm an archaeologist who's completely geeked out by industrial archaeology and inland waterways, I'll be happy even if it's just me who shows up.

Is anything happening between the canal museum and colebrook road? I am probably getting out of work about 4:30 and might have to race around in the evening...
