this year and wanted to extend an invite to MeFites who may be interested.
The party will be an all-day affair (2pm - ?) to let people drift by when it is convenient to them, but it also helps us as we have limited parking. Out-of towners are welcome to pitch a tent — or to crash on the floor — on a first-come, first sleep basis. We can provide a list of somewhat local lodging options if need be.
We'll probably have a couple of kegs of homebrew made by myself or by members of my local club, as well as some bottled beers, and other beverages. The propane grill will be available too. Locals are
encouraged to bring side dishes, snacks, drinks, etc. Out-of-towners can something if they feel a need. Anything to share would be welcomed! Also consider bringing a blanket or a lawn chair. In the evening we'll make a fire so s'mores, etc. can be had.
For the second year, we will have a live band! Local bluegrass/folk/rock band, Wool (appropriate name!) will be playing a few sets throughout the day.
Still tentative, but we are also hoping to renew our wedding vows sometime during the day! 2012 marks our tenth year of marriage.
If you are interested in attending:
1)
NO PETS. Sorry. With the llamas we can't have dogs around.
Seriously, don't bring them.
2) Please carpool if you can.
3) Bring any acoustic instruments you may have!
Hope to see folks.
