Northern Delaware Meetup

Tired of feeling left out by the Philadelphia and Baltimore meetups? It's time Delaware christened a meetup of its very own.
I got some positive response from people I randomly memailed based on their proximity to me, so I'm hoping we could get a large enough group together to merit having a meetup.
Maybe something on Main Street in Newark? What would be most meetup friendly?

I don't have any great suggestions for places to go because I don't go to bars very often, but either Wilmington or Newark is ok with me. I'm closer to Wilmington but I can get to Newark no problem.

I would prefer Newark. Perhaps Iron Hill? Or, is Two Stones Pub too far afield? Or, y'know, something that ISN'T centered on beer would be ok, too. 1984 isn't really my thing, but I would probably come, anyhow.
Any thoughts on what date?

I was thinking someplace like Iron Hill or Home Grown - I've heard interesting things about 1984 but it may be a bit busy for our first meetup.
Is a weeknight ok for you folks? Maybe a Thursday night?

I could do a Thursday evening. Iron Hill seems more meet up friendly than Home Grown, but either would work fine with me.

Thursday evenings are good for me as long as it's not the 16th. But Iron Hill sounds good to me.

Is this Thursday too soon? Since next Thursday the 16th is out maybe we can do Wed the 15th?
If I don't see any objections I'll set a definite meetup post for Wed the 15th at Iron Hill in Newark.

I'm pretty sure I could do the 15th. Generally, Wednesday is not ideal for me, but every once in a while is ok.

I just found out I have to be at a school function Wednesday night until about 7pm, which means I won't be able to be at Iron Hill until 7:30-7:45ish. Forgive me!
Also, would the first person to arrive at Iron Hill just give the hostess the name Metafilter group/party so we can find eachother? Thanks!

I'm thinking 7:30 is a good idea. That way none of us have to wait too long for the others as you, JMOZ can't get there to 7:15 at the earliest and amelliferae might not make it until 7:45. I say split the difference and make it 7:30. That's when I'll show up. I'll memail interplanetjanet to let her know.
