It's also time to talk about when and where we're going to play Pub Trivia again. I'm proposing we do it next week, either January 17th, 18th, or 19th, depending on which venue we choose. I believe that Tuesday is Woodrow's EaDo, Wednesday is Woodrow's Midtown, and Thursday is the Maple Leaf Pub. Any thoughts?

[UPDATE] We are settled on Kelvin Arms on Wednesday night. Who's in?

Personally, I liked the last one the best, I think it was Woodrow's Midtown? (We definitely shouldn't sit so close to the Quizmaster's PA system, though, if we go there again.)

Wow, we're all thinking about it, I was just editing a proposal to try out the Kelvin Arms when I noticed the "new mail" icon. Now that hockey season is full force I think we should avoid the Maple Leaf.

I went to Kelvin Arms once years ago and liked it. I'd be up for trying it.

Hmmm, Wednesday the 25th is Robert Burns' birthday, and Kelvin Arms has a big celebration, as I recall. Which may be either an added attraction or a hindrance.

Wow, Kelvin Arms is a winner. We parked ourselves in the comfy chairs in the vault, but could hear every note of the audio rounds! Hey JPH, they have a fireplace! Plenty of parking too. And it was a short hop over to the House of Pies for a post-quiz snack.

Oh yeah, we tied for 3rd, breaking our streak of not placing in the top 3.

What Runes said. Kelvin Arms is great, and the lack of frat boys grunting and barking meant we could hear ourselves and have actual conversations between rounds!

The only thing I didn't like about Kelvin Arms was that their steak night doesn't coincide with trivia. I need to lose weight anyway. :)
