The next Game Day....
Will be Saturday, October 8th at Caldera Public House from 1:00 to 6:00 pm.
I'll reserve the upstairs space under MetaFilter.

*note - I'd like to see about finding an alternative location that is closer to the downtown area. Suggestions are welcome.

Totally interested, but might be hard for me until October.

I am majorly interested. saturdays are probably the most doable, but but I've got a 50% chance of conflict.

I would like a day of gaming as well, and weekends in general are good.

Yesh. Weekend afternoons work well.

I have some occasional weekend conflicts, but in principle, I'm in.

Saturday seems to be the best day.
And Caldera seems to be the best place.
Now which Saturday would work....?

This one is out.
The following is very possibly Lutoslawki's "See ya, suckers!" get together, which leaves pretty much any Saturday after that.

I'm in for any October Saturday except the 15th.

Thoughts on the 8th or 29th?
posted by nickthetourist at 9:33 AM on September 25, 2011

8th would be nice - and my preference - because it is sooner, but either works.

I'll be out of town the weekend of the 8th. Earlier will probably collide a bit with Lutoslawski's meetup indeed; I'd vote for the 15th, but maybe we could even do both and let some of the folks make it to one or the other and some to both if they're so inclined?

I'm kind of afraid of us ending up with a lot fewer gaming meetups because we can't find perfect days than if we just accept that we won't always be able to maximize attendance if we have them more often.

So, the 8th and 29th?
That should work.
Do we want to stick with Caldera?
Or does anyone know of another suitable venue?

I'll likely miss the 8th, but I agree with cortex, do what ya gotta do.
posted by mimo at 4:05 PM on September 25, 2011

It's officially a thing for the 8th.
posted by nickthetourist at 9:07 PM on September 25, 2011

And then add another one for the 29th (or some other date) now, or later?

DONE

We have the space from 1:00 to 5:00.
Apparently another group will be using the space in the evening.

cortex, whichever day(s) you show up to, bring that Space Alert thing.
posted by curious nu at 3:48 PM on September 26, 2011

Just a reminder that everyone is welcome, regardless of your gaming experience.

Yes! I am pretty happy to get down with a game of cribbage or hearts or spades or something.
posted by curious nu at 11:25 AM on October 1, 2011

Count me in. I'll bring Space Alert, but, uh, I'm not sure I've figured out how to play yet.
posted by Sibrax at 1:18 PM on October 1, 2011

I think we're going to bring Talisman.

Will you guys ever have one of these I can attend, goddamit? I'm volunteering at Wordstock that day. (Stop by the poetry stage from 2 - 5 and say hi!).

Yes?

We actually thought Wordstock was the following weekend for some reason. I think fiercekitten are going to hang out there on Sunday.

Picked up a copy of Star Fluxx which is great if you've ever played Fluxx and thought "I sure wish this had a Star Trek/Star Wars twist."
