Hey, MeFites! Let's go check out the Out Of This World: Science Fiction But Not As We Know It exhibition at the British Library (subject of this excellent FPP by dng). I'm thinking this weekend-- short notice, I know, but what is life without spontaneity?
The British Library is open from 9.30-5pm Saturday and 11-5pm Sunday. If you'd like to come, which day would be best for you?
Lunch beforehand and/or pub afterwards are also definite possibilities.

Two consecutive Sunday meetups! - I'd be up for that. I'd be up for a spot of lunch (liquid or otherwise) too...

Excellent! You know how it is: you wait around for ages for a London meetup, and then two come at once.
Sunday is fine by me, but let's wait about a bit and see if anyone has a definite preference for Saturday...

I'm a tentative yes, was thinking of doing this anyway sometime soon. Probably prefer Sunday, but could make either.

Not sure I can make this one. But don't forget to check out the main museum too, they've got the Lindisfarne Gospels, the Magna Carta, lots of great stuff!

I could be up for this. I hadn't heard about the exhibition, but my SO and I would be interested in seeing it. Good timing too; I can't make the other meetup since I'll be travelling.

Should we call it for Sunday lunch, then, and discuss where/when exactly? I'm thinking midafternoon for the museum with food... somewhere... beforehand? I can't think of any good lunch places near there off the top of my head sadly.

I did the SF exhibit last weekend, not sure if I'll fell like visiting again so soon but may drop by for lunch/drinks etc.

I really want to come to this, but I've got a biglunch.com happening too. I might try and catch up with you at the exhibition in the mid-afternoon. What time would you guess you'll get to the exhibition?

MadamM, I hope we didn't leave you in the Library. We lost you in the exhibit and couldn't locate you when we got out and congregated in the gift shop.

Hi! No, I ended up looking at the Treasures of the British Library (amazing!) and then heading home- sorry for sloping off, I wasn't sure if you guys were still there when I left. I had a lovely time and I wish I had time for more meetups before I head back home! :)
