If you're in Toronto, you might be reading some press on the Summerworks Festival which is undergoing a bit of controversy due to their programming. (Enough kerfuffle to make a FPP, which I can't do, but you can!) In any case, I am performing in the Canadian premiere of a new play called Souvenirs of Home by Elyne Quan at the festival. Come, if you can. It's a lovely piece with a fresh point-of-view from a skilled writer. $10, various times. Here's the poster! Here's a preview piece!

In 1964, in the small town of Whitewood, Saskatchewan, the lives of a young Chinese girl, her overprotective mother and a concerned neighbour intersect with surprising and tragic consequences. Inspired by true events, this is a haunting story of isolation and longing in a small immigrant community.

Come see the Canadian premiere of "Souvenirs of Home" by Elyne Quan.
