Hey, Triangle Mefites! I'll be back in the area on April 8th, and I'd love to meetup again!
I'm coming back to the area to participate in the Monti's StoryGRANDSlam on April 7, (see here--tix go on sale on 3/25 and will be gone quickly). I'd hate to be back in the area and not see you guys--but it's going to have to be on April 8th, I'm flying back either late late that night or on the morning of the 9th. Venue doesn't matter to me, but if you can be free on the 8th, let's do this! I'm in Podunk, Texas now and DEAR GOD DO I MISS GOOD CONVERSATION. You're my only hope.
Where is close? South Durham?

I actually live nearest downtown Durham. Maybe we could go to Fullsteam? That's new since the Pater left, I believe.

Since you and thivia recommend Fullsteam, I'll make it official. I'm really glad we're going to be able to do this!

Ooooo! I would like to be there. We will be moving to Atlanta at some point this summer, so it would be nice to get in another meetup or two before we go. And having the Pater (I love it!) in town is a great reason.

By any chance could some kind Mefite pick me up at the airport on Thursday the 7th and get me to Carrboro? I land about 2:30 and need to be in Carrboro by 6:30 or so, and don't mind hanging out at RDU for a while. You get gas money and my undying friendship in return.

Had to move my body to the "maybe" pile. I can still get Pater at the airport tomorrow, but I am on baby watch for a dear girlfriend (also mefi lurker). She's due any second, and she needs childcare for her six year old while she and her husband are coaxing their newborn out of her uterus. I need to be available Friday night (and not just during the meetup, I gotta be ready to go at a moment's notice even in the middle of the night, which means, sober) and for however long it takes. Unless she's able to pop the critter out sometime in the next twenty-four hours, I'll probably make it. If not, I gotta beg off.

That was tons of fun! I'm so glad that we were able to do this while I was in town. Just what I needed! If I come back again next year, I'm setting up a repeat.
