Karaoke Happy Hour

Tue April 5 at 5:00 PM, The Highball

As I've mentioned at the last couple of meetups, I'd love to do a Mefite karaoke happy hour at the Highball. If we go between 4:30 and 7:00 on a weekday, we can get a free room and happy hour prices on drinks.
IMPORTANT: The rooms are limited size so this will be a small meetup, probably 6-8. I think they have one room that can take 12.

I've had a lot of fun with a small group, so even if there are only four of us it'll be a good time. Don't worry about your voice or your song choice; you can be out of tune and sing absolute cheese! We will have a good time. Come on out, Austin Mefites! I want to hear your voice!

I have to get pretty much falling-down drunk to sing in front of people, so I think this is not so much the best meetup for me. I could drop by and say hi if there's space, though.

Singers would obviously have priority, restless_nomad, but there's no reason why an extra drinker or two wouldn't be welcome if, as is likely, we don't get a full house.

Now that I am done with SXSW, I'm ready to actually set a date. Tuesday or Thursday nights are best for me. How about April 5? I have tickets to Kings of Leon the next Tuesday but i'm open both Thursdays.

Give me another day to see whether this cold is going to turn into bronchitis (which takes me a couple of weeks to recover from) and if Dayquil and Nyquil are my friends, we're on for the fifth.
