The Empress' Golden Jubilee (Birthday) in New Orleans

Attention New Orleans-area Mefites! The Empress' 50th Birthday falls on Mardi Gras this year, and I am making an Imperial Tour to your city. Let me know if you'd like to meet (informally or separately, perhaps).
Planning something organized may be tricky, since I'm meeting some dear friends there for part of my stay and a whole ton of strangers may be overwhelming for them. But they're leaving a day before me (they leave on the 26th, I leave on the 27th), so a post-Mardi Gras lunch might be an option. I also get in a little earlier than them on the 22nd, so that's another option; I'm staying in the Bywater, and landing a full 3 hours before I can get into my homestay. ...There are a TON of restaurants near where I'm staying, so I was just planning to head to one of them and have a very leisurely lunch (I will have NO TROUBLE WHATSOEVER doing that). So meeting up with me in that area works too.
So if you wanna hang the day after Mardi Gras or for lunch on the 22nd, or want to just have this be a place to touch base for impromptu "where is the Empress' court going today" meetings, here we are.
And yes, I know about the thing where you pin a dollar bill to your shirt. My last NOLA trip was for my 39th birthday - but that was the day AFTER Mardi Gras and I cheated. This is more properly the right date.
