MeFites in the Research Triangle--how about brunch on an upcoming Saturday/Sunday? SNOW DATE - Groundhog Day (Feb 2)
OK, selecting Milltown and Jan 26th for starters -- happy to adjust this if there is a strong preference for different venue.

Some location ideas:
Elmos (Durham or Carrboro)
Milltown (Carrboro)
Geer Street Garden
Mama Dips

Great idea - let’s do it!

I am all for this!

Some thoughts: Parker & Otis can be hard to get enough seats at. It's all about the timing, and I haven't eaten there recently enough to know when the busy times are. Grub doesn't have much indoor seating so it might be tricky in the cold months.

As things stand any weekend on the list looks good.

Hi all,

I'd love to meet some fellow North Carolinastan MeFites. Put me down as a "hopeful I will be able to attend!"

- Bill -

PS - I'm in Carrboro, locations there would be ideal but Durham can work too. Thanks y'all!

Lived here 3 years; just learned how to spell Carrboro !

Leaning towards Jan 26 or 27, with a snow date on Groundhog Day (Feb 2). Let me know what you think!

Depending when folks want to meet, Copa in Durham could be a possibility, and they take reservations.

There’s also Mama Dip’s.

No particular preference on dates.

I may well be in town around this time, so put me there as a maybe!

I’ll be honest, that is too early for me on a Saturday, I’ll see y’all next time!

Still trying to decompress from the holidays, but for now I'll say maybe!

Would 11/11:30 be preferrable for folks? I don't really have any preference on this, just picked an arbirtrary date/time from the list so it is on the books.

Any of the times so far suggested will do for me.

I genuinely have no excuse not to come to this and I haven't been to a meet-up in a while. Barring unforeseen calamity, I'm there.

11:00 or 11:30 would be better for us on a Saturday.

I'm still a maybe, but leaning towards yes.

Seconding everything Thivaia said. Barring disaster, I’ll be there.

My book group is meeting that day to make signs/carpool to the Women's March in Raleigh. Exact time TBD, but as long as it doesn't overlap, I'm in.

ooooohhhh.....maybe I'll actually possibly finally potentially come out to one of these!
I'm a soft maybe for now, and generally very flexible on weekends!

@basalganglia, thanks for mentioning the March. You'll need delicious brunch to fuel the protesting!
