Twin Cities holiday intermission

I'll be visiting family in my hometown of the Twin Cities for the holidays and would love an opportunity to sneak away for a meetup with some of the large contingent of MSP Mefites. Is anyone free and looking for an excuse to go out for a drink or meal post-Christmas / pre-New Years?

I'd be interested! Whereabouts will you be staying in the TC?

I still need to attend a twin cities meetup, now 18 months after moving back...

I'll be out of town, theory, visiting rellies in NC. Wish I could join in. Davina and the Vagabonds are doing a Dakota show on New Year's Eve, BTW.

Out of town meetups are the best. I'm interested!

I'm interested depending on timing. It's a very busy time in the Wreckage House and with just about every organization I'm involved in.

Our timing factor is that we are driving through the Cities on Christmas Day, sometime between late morning and late afternoon. But I'd love to go to a MeFi meetup for once!

I'll be staying in the southern suburbs, equidistant to Minneapolis and St. Paul. I figure someplace in Mpls or at least closer in to one of the cities would be best for everyone. How does Friday the 28th or Saturday the 29th sound?

I can do Friday afternoon, I think. Saturday I'd be sort of free for lunch.

Friday afternoons are doable.

Friday might be doable, Saturday would not. I live and work in downtown Minneapolis and the closer the meetup happened to there, the more likely I would be to attend.

I’m having an open house sort of party on Saturday 12/22 from noon to 8. Feel free to show up! It’s going to be super duper casual. There will be cookie-baking, hors d’oeuvres, comfort food, and a fire in the (gas) fireplace. I’m about 20 minutes due north of downtown St. Paul. MeMail me if you’d like the address.

I'm working normal M-F business hours between the holidays, and my Saturday the 29th is booked. Anything else and I'm very likely to attend, including any non-Sat evening.

I'm free from the evening of Friday the 28th through Saturday the 29th. I can do the evenings of Wednesday and Thursday the 26th and 27th as well. I'm in South Minneapolis but vehicular.

Correction: I can do Friday afternoon or Friday Evening, but only Saturday afternoon.

I'm working 9-5 this week and can do things right after work but not late at night. I'm also south Minneapolis but have a car and a transit pass (so fancy!).

It looks like Friday evening would be my window of opportunity -- apologies to those who've already said they can't make it then. I haven't thought about a good location yet, so would love to hear suggestions.

Ugh, I've come down with a bad cold so unfortunately I'm not going to make it -- will definitely try again next time I'm in town!

Sorry to hear about the bad cold. I'll be the snow we had last night isn't helping your mood either.

Oh whoops, I'm late to this thread. Still free Saturday if anyone wants to meet up and talk about theory behind their back. I have 4 anytime tickets to Mia's current exhibition, Egypt's Sunken Cities.
