Sun January 30 at 7:30 PM, The Penthouse
1019 Seymour St, Vancouver, BC V6B 2E8, Canada (Map & Directions)
My band (I sing and play "rock flute"), Two Apple Tobacco, is performing tonight at the Penthouse (the strippers are off on Sundays - hee)! We're premiering our brand new pan-apocalyptic mini rock-opera "Squinters Paradise". Also opening is "Booby Trap and the Tiger Skin Thursdays". More details after the jump!
Based in Vancouver, BC, Canada, Two Apple Tobacco aims to take listeners back to a time when the music industry was actually about the music.

In 8 five-minute scenes, Squinter’s Paradise recounts the near-future escapades of an ordinary guy whose life is turned upside down when the rising ocean swallows his seaside town. Left with nothing, he flees to the “farthest place inland”: Squinter’s Paradise – a waterless, dust-filled oasis for sea-rise refugees. He soon realizes, however, that between the squabbling Yokally Locals, the nefarious corporate Rough Riders and the daily attacks from Elephants and Crows, life in Squinter’s Paradise may be just as perilous as by the shrinking seaside.

In addition to the FIRST EVER live performance of our latest musical project – as in, 40 minutes of NEW MUSIC – our fourth Penthouse Sunday Spectacular will feature other TAT favourites, special guests Booby Trap and the Tiger Skin Thursdays, door prizes, and our usual surprise Zappa cover. If that’s not enough, beer is on special. Don’t worry, we understand if you can barely contain your excitement.
