Sat January 13 at 1:00 PM, Sibrax's House
6270 SW Madhatter Ln, Beaverton, OR, USA (Map & Directions)
Come join us for our semi-regular day of board games!
We have lots of games to choose from, and if board games aren't your thing, feel free to just hang out. New people are always welcome! There will be snacks, and probably dinner for those who stay late.

If it would work better for people, we can also do Sunday the 14th.

Hope you can make it!

Do people carpool to these? I'm in SE Portland and could probably take a few folks.

I have a thing until 2pm Saturday somewhere in NE, but I'll mosey your way after that to hang out for awhile.

Sometimes people carpool! I know our house isn't in a convenient location for everyone, and we really appreciate it when people make the trip.

We have a pre-release that weekend but I might stop by to say hi.

We got a few new games recently, so we'll bring some stuff along!

I've had an unplayed copy of Adventure Time Love Letter FOR OVER A YEAR and would love to bring that along.

I'll come hang out and watch. I'm getting a bit of cabin fever, I need to get out of the house and socialize with actual people!

Would there be any interest in bagels, or would that lead to a too much food situation? I think at a previous game day I talked favorably about my local bagel place. I could pick up a dozen for people to try out (and then participate in the national pastime of saying "these are good, but not as good as New York bagels/Montreal bagels/fill in the blankgles")

Bagels sound great! We'll have the usual kinds of snacks, and there will be turkey chili for anyone who wants to stay for dinner. There will also be some soup as a vegetarian option.

fill in the blankgles

That sounds like a fun game to watch!

Is it like a new variant on Mad-Libs?
posted by Greg_Ace at 5:40 PM on January 12, 2018

Yes! Schmear-Libs? Cream-Libs? Mad-Lox?

I tried and failed to come up with an elegant "Matlock" pun; but I do like the sound of Schmear-Libs.

Looking forward to seeing y’all! We attempted to make deviled eggs and will bring those too for sharing. I felt like going retro and had never made them before!

Deviled eggs are always in style!
