gingerbeer and I will be in New Orleans from this Friday (12/8) through Tuesday. We are going to a wedding on Friday, but the weekend is open. We're staying at the Old No. 77 hotel. We like cocktails and good food and mefites. Let us attempt to combine them!

I might be able to do a thing on Saturday or Sunday. You got any places in mind? I've been kind of a homebody lately so I'm not able to tell you what all the hip spots of the past month are.

I am always down for Cane & Table or Latitude 29.

I am definitely interested. I am free Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon and evening (family events early each day). There is so much fun stuff within walking distance of your hotel. Look forward to visiting with everyone!

I know nothing of hip or not-hip places! Cane & Table looks pretty great - gingerbeer is currently on a plane, so I'll wait to get her word. If there are other suggestions, please feel free to drop them!

And while I wait for co-workers to do a thing so that I can do my thing, I browse Eater and....Nosh looks pretty good, too. Happy hour on a Saturday? With oysters? Locals have thoughts?

I've never been, but those happy hour prices look good! Although, I have to laugh at putting Miller Lite in the Craft Beer section.

Cane and Table is one of those places I keep hearing good things about but I never find my way over there. Going to see if my better half can get a flight that lands before 4.
