Grand opening of the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library. Noon-5 p.m. Open to the public, free of charge.

The KVML will be hosting a Grand Opening Event on Saturday, January 29 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at The Emelie Building (340 N. Senate Avenue) in downtown Indianapolis. Please join us at noon for our ribbon-cutting ceremony with John Lechleiter, CEO of Eli Lilly and Company. The opening ceremony will be followed by a book signing and talk with Kurt’s lifelong friend Majie Failey, author of the new book about their friendship, We Never Danced Cheek to Cheek. The rest of the afternoon will feature musical performers as well as a discussion with Heather Augustyn, the last person to interview Kurt. All events are free and open to the public.
