Come hang out in Davis and eat pizza! Then go to to the Jonathan Coulton show -- or don't! posted by danb to Meetup (7 comments total)

I just felt weird with this thread being so naked and commentless, but as you point out in your post, it has already been discussed at some length.

I'm pleased (for JoCo's sake) to note that the show is less glaringly undersold than a week ago. I just searched Ticketmaster [crosses self, spits on the ground] and the best available seats were at the back of the mezzanine.

Okay, this is obnoxious. The Somerville Theater itself has no more tickets, but you can still buy them through TicketMaster.

I am not really interested in *paying* the devil to take my soul, though, so I'd really rather avoid that. When I called the theater they said there might be tickets available at the venue on Friday, so I might go for that instead. (well me, and a few other folk who might show up too, including Diagonalize and her +1).

OK, I'm convinced. I think all Jonathan Coulton concerts should in fact be meetups. And attendance will be compulsory.

That was not me who shouted "Judas" by the way. Clearly geek minds think alike.

Speaking of geek minds, I saw a guy in the bathroom wearing a LARPing sword. Congratulations, sir, you are King of the Geeks.

Ha! I just saw John Siracusa post about that guy on Twitter.

Agreed about future Coulton show meetups. Actually I think there should just be more meetups in general. Maybe IRL will be help!

On second thought, maybe I'm not sorry I can't be at Comic-Con.

Comic-Con is Humanly Impossible.
