A few of us met up last Friday -- thanks, grouse! -- and learned after the planning that jessamyn would be in town this coming week. So: the Jason George this coming Saturday? Who is in?

It was a gem tsunami. I was getting you all complacent with the gem tornado fakeout. The tsunami will occur...we're pretty close to Lake Ontario, right?

All this will take some explaining. There is no literal steroid pit, but there was in a game of Snake Oil at the last meet up. All will be revealed at the meetup.

Alas my daughter came down with 101º fever today and as always happens when my kids are sick, I instantly get some kind of wimpy paranoid sympathetic sickness. I think I may have tequila'd it out of me though. Fingers crossed.

That might have been a tonal carry over from the day before when I was sitting as a judge in a mooting competition. Our panel apparently terrified the actual winner of our division so bad with our questions that he thought for sure he had lost completely.
